NOVELS

- What Was Your Name Downriver? (The Shattered Frontier #1) - Evaline Cartwright and Trivan Esterhazy are newly-met on a steamboat heading north, but a rogue mage and mutinous passengers have ensured their rather hasty alliance. Beset by foul magicks, the women will have to work together to have any chance at reaching their destination with their lives.

Follow along on an adventure through a Tolkien-esque world that has advanced into the age of steam, gunslingers and gold rushes.

- A Bad Rune at Angels Deep (The Shattered Frontier #2) - Runes: a form of deployable magick that caused untold devastation during the war. With the stroke of a pen, entire cities were demolished, entire armies decimated—and now one such rune may have come south to Ariasun County.

Acting on scant clues left behind by the vicious lynching of a smuggler, Evaline Cartwright and Trivan Esterhazy head north to track the rune’s passage through the county. All in the hope of destroying the rune—or its possessor—before it can be used for catastrophic ends.

- The Outcasts of Vampire Flats (Lore of the Reluctant #1) - An undead army has been unleashed upon Shiloft by a rogue necromancer, and an encrypted counterspell in the friends' possession is the only way to halt the coming apocalypse. With only days until the zombified masses reach the first townships, the trio must venture deep into the wilds of the Mythrin Forest in search of the one person who can translate their counterspell and save the world.

They just have to convince themselves to get out of bed first.

- Blades in Elsingr (Lore of the Reluctant #2) - An unexpected detour on the long road to Vellonae drops the companions in the middle of the labyrinthian coastal city of Elsingr, where they are attacked by the most vicious, most regicidal assassins guild in the land: the dreaded Backblades. Now, they must plot their way through the winding roads of Elsingr, and survive long enough to determine who paid such a large price for their heads... Also, they're suffering from hunger, sleep deprivation, and they're generally pretty annoyed with each other, so there's a good chance they'll kill each other off before the Backblades can.

- My Battery Is Low and It Is Getting Dark - My second time working with Zombies Need Brains Publishing! Edited by Crystal Sarakas and Joshua Palmatier, this anthology is themed around various forms of technology that find renewed purpose in obsolescence. My contribution, "Ain't Done Haunting," follows a group of android entertainers who rather suddenly discover they've been performing to an empty city for years.

Blackguards: Tales of  Assassins, Mercenaries, and Rogues - After a very successful Kickstarter, Ragnarok Publications announced a number of slots in their dark fantasy anthology for open submissions. To my surprise, a fantasy/Western short story of mine called "The Lonesome Dark" was able to make it in. My first paying job as a writer!

"The Lonesome Dark" was previously only available in the ebook version of Blackguards, but with this edition going out of print due to the rights changing hands, it's now only available in both the ebook and paperback versions of Brigands: A Blackguards Anthology.
